Brian

Professor, Nobel Laureate in Physics 2011, Brian Schmidt, is the receiver of the Niels Bohr Institute Medal of Honour 2015

Powered by technology and ideas, a revolution in our understanding of the Universe has occurred over the past 50 years. Yet, despite all the progress, huge questions remain. These include, What are planets like beyond our own solar system and do they harbour life? What is the Life History of the Universe? And, what are Dark Matter and Dark Energy? Over the coming decade, using new telescopes and instruments, we can hope to make remarkable progress to answer these and other questions about our place in the Universe.
