On Friday, 28 February 2014, Teddy Frederiksen successfully defended his PhD thesis, "Nurseries of supernovae - A study of young high redshift type Ia supernova host galaxies." 

During his PhD study, Teddy worked with supervisor, Professor Jens Hjorth, and spent considerable time at the Space Telescope Institute in the U.S.A., working with Nobel Prize winner, Adam Reiss, among others.
