Visit by Robert Kirshner

Robert Kirshner is visiting DARK from 17-19 November 2011. He is here to collaborate with DARK members on supernovae and to give a seminar on infrared observations of SN Ia as the best distance indicators.

Robert is a Professor at CfA at Harvard University, USA. Robert received his Ph.D. in Astronomy at Caltech. He was a postdoc at the Kitt Peak National Observatory, and was on the faculty at the University of Michigan for 9 years before returning to Harvard, where he graduated from in 1970. His main research areas are supernovae and observational cosmology.
