Visit by Berian James

DARK's Sophie and Tycho Brahe Fellow, Berian James, is visiting DARK 28 May - 1 June 2012. He is here to do a master's examination of DARK's master's student, Kristoffer Stensbo-Smidt and to collaborate with Fergus Simpson, who is also visiting DARK.

Berian is currently working as a Sophie and Tycho Brahe Fellow jointly at University of California, Berkeley and at the Dark Cosmology Centre. His research is in the fields of observational and theoretical cosmology; particularly, statistics of large-scale structure, galaxy formation and evolution, type Ia supernovae and the foundations of relativistic cosmology.
