Visit by Andrea Derdzinski

Andrea Derdzinski is visiting DARK from 15 June - 15 July 2013. Andrea is here to collaborate with DARK's PhD student, Johan Samsing and UCSC graduate student, Morgan MacLeod, and to attend the Dwarf Galaxies workshop in July.

Andrea is currenlty an undergraduate student at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her research focuses on the evolution of stellar wind bubbles, and she is currently using FLASH to run hydrodynamic simulations of stellar winds interacting with the ISM. She is primarily interested in systems of type Ia supernovae progenitors (particularly white dwarf mergers) and would ultimately like to see how supernovae evolve within these wind-blown bubbles.
