Visit by Lars Mattsson

Previous DARK postdoc Lars Mattsson is visiting DARK November 24.-28. He is here to attend a collaboration meeting with Anja C. Andersen.

Lars Mattsson

Lars Mattsson received his PhD in 2009 from Uppsala University and in 2010 he joined  DARK where he stayed for three years working in close collaboration with Anja C. Andersen. Since 2013 he has been a postdoctoral fellow of the astrophysics group at Nordita, which is the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics and is hosted jointly by KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University. At Nordita, he is working on physical modelling of cosmic-dust processing

His main scientific interest is cosmic dust and his previous research has largely been about simulating dust formation together with dust-driven winds from carbon stars, and various aspects of the build-up of dust and related key-elements in galaxies.
