Visit by Michael Maseda

Michael Maseda is visiting DARK on 11 February to discuss possible future collaboration.

Michael Maseda

Michael is currently writing his PhD thesis at the University of Heidelberg. His work is focused on near-IR spectroscopy of starbursting dwarf galaxies at z > 1. By studying the lowest-mass galaxies at high-redshift, it is possible to find invaluable clues into the formation of all galaxies.

Michaels main research interests are:

  • (Low-mass) Galaxy formation and evolution
  • Emission line galaxies
  • Near-IR spectroscopy
  • Multi-wavelength galaxy surveys
  • Gravitational lensing
  • High-z galaxy searches
