Visit by Kate Rubin

Kate Rubin is visiting DARK from 11 - 12 February 2010. Kate is here to  meet the staff and explore future collaboration.

She is currently a graduate student at the Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics University of Santa Cruz, USA. Her research has focused on characterizing the properties of outflows in galaxies at z < 1.5 using a few different techniques. Galactic-scale outflows are quite common among vigorously star-forming galaxies, and are expected to play a key role in the process of galaxy evolution.
