Visit by Max Stritzinger

Max Stritzinger is visiting DARK from 01-31 August 2011. He is here to collaborate with DARK members.

Max is currently a scholar at the The Oskar Klein Centre and the Department of Astronomy at Stockholm University. He spends a fair fraction of my time working on the Carnegie Supernova Project. He also collaborates with Supernova researchers in Europe, USA, Chile, and Japan. His research is focussed on the study of Type Ia and Type Ib/c supernovae with the main motivation to gain a deeper understanding of their progenitor systems and explosion physics, as well as to sharpen the use of Type Ia supernova as distance indicators.
