Visit by Norbert Werner

Norbert Werner is visiting DARK from 28-29 March 2011. He is here to discuss research on the physics of clusters of galaxies with David Rapetti and Desiree D. M. Ferreira and to give talk.

Norbert is currently working as an Einstein/Chandra Postdoctoral Research Fellow, at the Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology (KIPAC) at Stanford University. He did his PhD at SRON Netherlands Institute for Space Research. His main research areas are physics and chemical composition of the intra-cluster medium, its interaction with the supermassive black holes in the clusters centers, and the properties of the plasma at the cluster outskirts and in the filaments of the cosmic web.
