Visit by Daniel Perley

Daniel Perley is visiting DARK from
21 - 27 October. He is here to work and collaborate with DARKers. Dan's main  areas of research include:

  • Gamma-ray bursts (afterglows, progenitors, and environments)
  • Interstellar extinction; high-redshift dust properties
  • Star formation in high-redshift galaxies
  • Massive stellar evolution and supernovae
  • Data processing software development.

Dan is currently a Hubble Fellow at the CalTech Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics.  He got is PhD at the University of California, Berkeley in 2010.
