Visit by Daniel Asmus

Daniel Asmus is visiting DARK from 22 – 25 April 2014. He is here to collaborate on high-resolution studies of nearby active galactic nuclei with Sebastian Hoenig.
Daniel is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max-Planck-Institute for Radio Astronomy. His main research interests are:

  • Galactic nuclei: Torus structure & evolution, accretion & jet structure, spectral energy distributions, gas kinematics & black hole masses
  • Infrared observations: High-spatial resolution, mid-infrared, ground-based methods, dust & PAH emission
