Michal Michalowski is visiting DARK from January 25
to February 8 2015.

Michal Michalowski

Michal is here to collaborate with Jens Hjorth and Christa Gall. Using the far-infrared data from Herschel they will study how galaxies produce and destroy dust, and how fast this process is.

Michal received his PhD at DARK and is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh. His main research interests are: Star-forming galaxies, Dust in the early Universe, Observations at the far-IR and radio wavelengths and Gamma-ray burst host galaxies.

Michal was recently awarded the Winton Capital Award in astronomy by the Royal Astronomical Society.
