I was born and grew up in Rome, Italy. I received my Bachelor’s (2007) and Master’s (2009) degrees in physics from the Università degli Studi Roma Tre in Rome, Italy. In 2013, I received my PhD in Theoretical Physics with a thesis in computational astrophysics from the University of Zurich in Switzerland. I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley from 2013 to 2017.
I carry out research in computational astrophysics and I’m interested in learning about the impact of high-energy processes such as supernovae and active galactic nuclei on the evolution of galaxies and their dark matter halos. I am also interested in the connection between galaxy properties and the large scale structure of the Universe.
