Welcome to Johannes F. Zabl

Welcome to DARK's newest PhD student, Johannes F. Zabl, who started at DARK 1 August 2011. Johannes will be working with Johan Fynbo and Kristian Pedersen on the UltraVISTA survey and science with the Euclid space mission. Johannes Zabl’s PhD project will consist of two parts. The first will be about searching and studying Emission Line Galaxies in Ultra Deep Survey of VISTA Telescope. The second will be about the scientific exploitation of EUCLID.

Johannes did his undergraduate school at the University of Munich, and he did his diploma thesis project at ESO. His main research interests so far have been Galaxy Formation and Evolution, Observational Cosmology, Observational Techniques and Instrumentation and Scientific Computing.
